MAGSAN: WHERE LIGHT HAS A NAME
Some companies are born from a business plan, others from a vocation. Magsan belongs to the second group.
Our official story begins in 2008, in El Prat de Llobregat, in the province of Barcelona (Spain). But in reality, this journey has been taking shape for more than four decades in workshops, warehouses and meetings with customers who spoke plainly: they wanted solutions, not speeches.
We specialise in something that seems simple at first glance: LED lighting for industrial vehicles. We say “seems” because behind every approved rear light there is a world of testing, regulations, engineering and common sense. We don’t sell bulbs; we deliver visibility, safety and reliability in motion.
Our products travel on trucks, trailers, buses, tractors, agricultural machinery, public works vehicles, mining, trains and 4x4’s that face conditions capable of making any household torch tremble. And if they keep working, it’s not magic: it’s Magsan.
A story that lights up long before LED
Before Magsan had a name, the know-how already existed. Jose Manuel Santos Guerra, its founder, didn’t need a business card to be recognised in the sector. He came from Motoplat, a historic ignition brand, and Importadora de Componentes SL, a spare parts distributor. During those years he gathered more tools than speeches: he learned to listen to the customer, to identify a fault without schematics and, above all, never to sell anything that wouldn’t stand the test of time.
Today, the helm is held by his son, Jose Santos Magán. A second generation that does not seek to break with the past, but to continue the work with new ideas, a stronger digital focus and greater international reach. Yet with something that is not inherited by blood, but by example: the seriousness of delivering on what is promised.
What we do (and why we do it the way we do)
Our mission is not to sell lights. It is to support projects so they shine where it matters most: on the road, in the field, on site, in the mine. We work side by side with leading manufacturers in the sector and act as their bridge to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), guaranteeing approved products that comply with the strictest European regulations, such as ECE certification.
It’s not enough for something to light up. It has to withstand dust, vibration, water, the passage of time and daily use. That’s why every product goes through tests that would make a rank-and-file soldier sweat. Sealing, durability, impact resistance and extreme climate performance: nothing reaches your hands without first passing through ours.
Many sectors, one shared light
Although we specialise in solutions for trucks and trailers, we also work with buses, caravans, tractors, forklifts, off-road machinery and any vehicle that needs real LED lighting: efficient, safe and compliant.
And we say “work with” because we are not a price catalogue. We sit down with you, analyse your project, propose solutions and provide technical support. From day one to long after installation. Because when someone trusts us, we take it as a personal commitment.

We could talk about products, yes. But Magsan is, above all, a team. One that answers the phone, gets involved and strives to give you not what’s available, but what you need. Our philosophy hasn’t changed over the years: close attention, honest advice and a relationship that goes beyond the commercial.
This way of doing things has allowed us to build long-lasting relationships with manufacturers, distributors and end customers. Not because we are perfect, but because we care about what we do and who we do it with.
